I was worried about the durability of the sundial, as it seemed too delicate/beautiful to be placed outside. However, it seems fine. I live at the coast. It is visually striking and the built-in compass allows for precise placement, while the gnomon allows you to adjust the latitude angle for your location. Very happy with my purchase and the excellent service received from The Gentry!
